Past

I've been doodling for as long as I can remember. I always had a pen, pencil, crayon or whatever was around and just doodled on scraps of paper or colored in coloring books. Art class was my favorite part of school. I always considered myself the "Art Geek". Once I was in high school I was able to really explore several mediums like, sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, and graphic design. My goal was to take all the art classes my high school offered before I graduated. Lets just say I accomplished that! Through out high school I wanted to be an art teacher but once I took my first graphic design class my senior year I changed my mind and knew I was going to be a graphic designer.

I received my A.A.S in Graphic Design from Mohawk Valley Community College. If it wasn't for the structure of this program I wouldn't be where I am today. After MVCC I transferred to SUNY Institute of Technology and received a B.S. in Professional and Technical Communications with a concentration in Graphic Design. Here I was introduced to a Professor that knew how to push my buttons and get the best design work out of me with her challenging projects. She taught me how to get through the creative blocks and really think outside the box.

After graduation I was hired as the Head of Marketing for a local building supply company. Here I created the website and the monthly sales fliers. This helped me get my feet wet when working with printers in the field.

Present

I currently work for Townsquare Media where I have expanded my portfolio and knowledge in the field along with my marketing skills. Working for 4 of the top local radio stations has provided me with great opportunities. I have collaborated on billboards for 2 major radio promotions and designed the vehicle wrap graphics for the station's vehicles.

Outside of Townsquare Media I am a freelance graphic designer. I've been in the field for over 5 years and I currently freelance for a local candy store as their graphic designer. Whether you're looking for someone for one project or multiple ones ask me what I can do for you!
